Review on Efficiently Enhance Your Workstation with PANAVISE 350 Multi-Purpose Work Center by Mark Gardner

Very happy for many reasons. Panavise is great

I have to say I love this vise. Self-centering jaws are great, but two things really set them apart. 1. Super wide range. This is where all the others I've used fail. The smaller ones are only 2 inches apart. Spring. It stinks when you're working on a 2x4 piece of wood for something small (I cut out the wood). So it's fantastic to have such a wide range of clamp widths available2. Base. Now I didn't think I cared, the others I've used are the ones where you press a lever and suck it in with a rubber foot. but this very wide flat base keeps the vise very stable. and the small trays around it are very practical. I also use a soldering station. but i just love it. The only downside, and it's really a design, you can never hold a tree in it and saw through it. The head now rotates from side to side in normal use and will hold onto the board or mortise cylinder lock or electronics, it won't be noticeable but it's not locked so there's no rotational stabilization which means if you apply real torque. it's head-turning, but then again, that's really not what it's supposed to be. I know $80 is a fantastic price. I recommend this vise more than any other small vise I have seen. . You need these screws because they are not typical. You can replace them with Lowes or Home Depot machine screws, but be aware that you will need washers. because the diameter of the screw usually doesn't cover the head far enough to fit through the screw mount and clamp the jaw itself. This works with screws and washers, but it doesn't really look good.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • So-so
