I have been using stoves for over a decade. To me, this is the perfect combination of simplicity in a coffee maker (important) and flavor in the end result (more important). The only alternative in terms of aroma, taste and effect is a complete espresso machine and the associated hassle, hassle, cleaning and maintenance and eventual repairs. But cooktops come with their own headaches, unfortunately due to the wide range of results associated with the variety of shapes, sizes, and types (aluminum vs. stainless steel). I've tried several (>3) grades of stainless steel over the years, all with relatively poor results (sorry for the very long introduction). Just enjoyed my first cup of coffee with vonvivo (3-4 cups, 6.8 oz). ). It was as perfect as can be. Fill the tank with water just below the pressure valve, gently shake the ground coffee until full and brew 1 cup of excellent flavored magic (dark roasted Colombian beans from a small local supplier who roast themselves). PS - I'll let you know more after a few cups. PPS - There must be a cup size conversion from European to American, similar to shoes (1 US cup = 3-4 Euro cups)
