The sensor itself is easy to read and connects easily to the car with a rubber vacuum line from your local auto parts store. As most reviewers point out, ditch the aquarium tube that came with this sensor or find a better project for it. I was looking for a lighted liquid filled vacuum gauge but couldn't find one with both functions so I settled on this lighted AutoMeter. I noticed that the readings became less erratic when I typed "Dorman Help! 47311 Restrictor" from the vacuum line to the gauge, although it reads about 7 inHg less vacuum than the ECU and the factory gauge. For my purposes as a visual aid to reducing fuel consumption, this is grudgingly acceptable.
