These gauges are arranged left to right which I prefer. The color of the bezel helps explain to passengers that higher numbers mean better gas mileage. I've bought 5 and will be installing them on some of our vehicles. These are tools designed to help you learn to drive and get the best fuel economy from your vehicle. If there is a problem with the transparent hose I will replace it. with vacuum hose in the style of an automobile manufacturer. The last one I installed was on a '51 Chevrolet 2…

Get a real pressure gauge. skip it

I just got "good". I installed it on my International Scout. Worked well but would be very nervous here and there. For example, switch between 22 and 23 inches of mercury very quickly and jump. I thought something was wrong with the engine. I dusted off a US made liquid filled AutoMeter ProComp I had and it worked perfectly. Doesn't jump or twitch. The noise the jumping needle made was annoying. So I'd skip that and get a REAL pressure gauge if you plan to install one inside. Probably works…

Pressure Gauge - Keeper, throw a clear hose.

Gauge excellent, vacuum line not so good. I took the advice of many other reviewers and bought a regular vacuum hose at my local auto parts store. I could easily use my lung power to roll the tube. The 2" gauge is very similar to other mounting gauges (has a two post mount on the back that tightens with two small nuts. It lights up and comes with two lamp caps (red/green). It replaces the old, larger one Gauge mounted on the bracket that came with the camper The dial is clear, color coded and…

Easy to read manometer, displayed values are off.

The sensor itself is easy to read and connects easily to the car with a rubber vacuum line from your local auto parts store. As most reviewers point out, ditch the aquarium tube that came with this sensor or find a better project for it. I was looking for a lighted liquid filled vacuum gauge but couldn't find one with both functions so I settled on this lighted AutoMeter. I noticed that the readings became less erratic when I typed "Dorman Help! 47311 Restrictor" from the vacuum line to the…

As always, AutoMeter provides a good benchmark.

Works great, the arrow is stable and responds very well to pressing the accelerator. It's amazing how much fuel can be saved by accelerating more smoothly and knowing when to downshift. This is an AutoMeter Autogage. The only thing that could be improved is the vacuum hose that runs under the hood and I would improve the hose that comes with it in two ways: 1.) It should be a stronger hose, like this one. collapses in vacuum with heat under the hood. An OEM type black vacuum hose would be…

This is a 2 inch caliber.

I bought this because the engine vacuum can tell a lot about the engine. I got this one on purpose because it was an automatic counter created by an automatic sensor, their budget line. The automatic gauge does not have a premium vacuum gauge. The downside of being labeled as an auto gauge is that it matches other auto gauges, it measures 2 inches instead of 2 1/16 inches. It sucks a bit because I'm replacing my factory sensor cluster with all new sensors on a custom sheet of steel. I'm just…

  • Not everything fits

Excellent pressure gauge; delivers very valuable information at low cost.

I have had Autometer sensors fitted to my cars for the last 15 years and they have never failed. I would like to know what is going on in my cars, ESPECIALLY old ones. It is an extremely affordable, permanent diagnostic tool that was installed on a 1996 1.0 liter 3 cylinder Geo Metro vehicle. The plastic hose barely extends from the MAP sensor to the other side of the vehicle, but the installation of the parts included in the kit was successful (if additional hose is needed, it can be purchased
