Review on Convenience Concepts Designs2Go Folding Table by Kim Savage

Revainrating 1 out of 5

It could have been better. Make it "much better ".

If a little more attention was paid to the processing, I would give a higher rating. Looks better than a 3 star until you look closely. The wood is usually well sanded and feels smooth. But it was painted before holes were drilled to assemble it, resulting in rather large holes sticking out from the rest of the black trim. The fairing itself could have used a second coat as there appears to be only one and I've already established that there are problems. Something is stuck in one of the inner corners of the tray; Using just my fingernail to remove it, a light scratch was enough to penetrate the thin surface and reveal bare wood. (I used a black felt tip pen to make the corner black again.) I haven't had it long enough to have an accident, but I suspect the finish won't stand up to anything abrasive like the bottom of a clay coffee mug. for example a cup. One of my hands rested on one of the crossbars, which is what I usually do because the tray isn't attached to it. I noticed that I felt a small ridge in the piece I was holding and when I examined it closely and actually bent the wood a little, it turned out that there was a crack all over the piece that was about 1/4 inch left intact; a simple pull will break it completely - everything will be obscured by black paint on the tree, so to speak. So I've now changed my rating from three stars to a one star complaint. I'll throw away the almost new crossbars and leave the tray. Better a tray I never need than nothing, right? To the right. Also, there's no way to attach the tray to the folding legs - it just sits on the legs, which I don't think is too secure or sturdy for regular use. It would be ridiculously easy if even a small dent would rip the tray completely off your feet.

Pros
  • Not only useful for the intended purpose
Cons
  • There are defects
