2006 Chevrolet 2500HD with clogged coolant. Symptoms: Code P0894 - Component Slippage. Hard shifting from 1 to 2, sometimes 3. In later stages the gearbox gets hot and it even beeps a warning on the odometer display. After watching at least a dozen videos, it is safe to say that the torque converter burned out, the inner parts of the clutch probably got to the front outer ones. Cooler. You only have a limited amount of time to fix this or it will end up in a full overhaul. So we removed the transmission, replaced the 63 pound torque converter, front radiator, some new fluid and a month later it's running like new. Much cheaper than the $3800-$5000 refurbishment/replacement.
