They look great. I used old vintage lightbulbs. Very difficult. The dimmer is built into the cable. It smoothly transitions from a simple trail of light to full light. I have 2. I have already added this item back to my wish list. If I get paid again I know I want at least 2 more. Somehow the color tops it all off. Very stable and will be difficult to knock over. I use my second flashlight for unauthorized purposes. I was making peach pineapple wine and it was a little cooler than I wanted so I put a lamp in the cupboard and used a dimmer to adjust the heat output of the 60 watt incandescent bulb I was using. The light is at a safe distance from everything and not in a hot place. The light looks too good to use out of sight, but this was a 30 second fix that worked 100%.
