WORKS WELL on in-dash DVD and video receivers

Test I bought a model for Maserati cars. I have a 2016 QUATTROPORTE GTS that didn't initially have Apple CarPlay as it's a HARMAN KARDON device. I installed NAV-TOOL's CarPlay module (NAVUCT4.0-APPLE-CARPLAY+UCTLS) designed for my car and installed it myself - mind you, Navtool tech support was coy at best, but it was mid-2020 and they claim that they actually did staff. So I will digress a bit to explain how this ADAPTER HELP SOME OF THE PROBLEMS CAUSED BY NAVTOOL CARPLAY MODULE: NAVTOOL (NVT) MODULE while plug and play for my car is not 100% integration since it works with ST EROS 'AUX' INPUT ( it's a small headphone hole) vs BLUETOOTH input. So if you want to get "as close" as possible to full CARPLAY integration, you need to control the NTV module via the stereo AUX input. Unfortunately, the AUX input is ANALOG. , and represents a decrease in AUDIO QUALITY of about 30-40%, in addition, you CANNOT control the carplay with the steering (song skip, Siri, dictation, etc.); not to mention you also have a similar drop in call tone quality (these cars have amazing ringer noise cancellation technology so most people think you're calling from a very quiet room in your house). is to forget about using CARPLAY via the AUX-IN and continue to use your iPhone's Bluetooth connection to connect DIRECTLY to your CARSTEREO, allowing STREAMING MUSIC AND CONTROL + CALLS to be streamed from your stereo. This allows full control of steering wheel functions and DIGITAL MUSIC SOUND AND CALL QUALITY. AGAINST this REMEDY is that every time you turn on the car, APPLE's CARPLAY SOFTWARE automatically routes all audio connections from the phone to the NTV MODULE (which would make sense), but unfortunately the NTV MODULE routes all audio signals to the AUX INPUT: so EVERY TIME you have to manually select the MUSIC direction on the BLUETOOTH on the PHONE or PRESS AND HOLD the VOICE button on the steering wheel - this is not the case. Too bad because you only have to do it once during each driving session. However, for CALLS you must TRANSFER THE RINGTONE from the CARPLAY OPTION (which we know goes to "AUX") to BLUETOOTH "EVERY" SINGLE CALL - and not just ONCE, BUT TWICE: First you will hear a RING , and AGAIN when the USER ANSWERS THE CALL - A BIG PAIN and a SECURITY RISK. The SIRI) conversation WILL NOT BE HEARD because it is routed from the CarPlay software to the CarPlay connection, which is an AUX INPUT that you cannot hear when connected to the BLUETOOTH SOURCE . SO, THIS ALLJOURNEY should tell you that INSTALLING THIS WIRELESS ADAPTER eliminated my 2 BIGGEST COMPLAINTS from the NAVTOOL WIRED CARPLAY MODULE: From the moment the phone connects, not only does it automatically connect to BLUETOOTH, it also directs Automatically forward calls to BLUETOOTH โ€“ yayyyyyyy. Plain text and other notifications are still redirected to CARPLAY AUDIO (ie AUX INPUT which I can't hear) but it's still a big UNEXPECTED IMPROVEMENT. WHEN INSTALLING THE WIRELESS DEVICE, there were a few hiccups (the stereo touchscreen didn't work, but a reboot fixed it - I think I misunderstood/followed the installation instructions anyway), but after that was this WIRELESS CARPLAY ADAPTER Reliable . One point to note in MY CASE: If you start the car remotely without a phone, if it's present, things reset and I have to switch to BLUETOOTH manually. So I stopped the remote start. PS I also bought KOTOO MAGSAFE CAR WIRELESS CHARGER & BASE (B08XJTMHFK) here at Revain and it's only a 7.5w iPhone charger but among the many MagSafe wireless chargers I've bought around trying this out was the most stylish and organic (hit black model). ) inside my car. It can be mounted to an air conditioner vent, but it's not a great setup - I recommend the base instead, and it's more durable. Much luck.

Pros
  • โœ… SHORTLY CUT THE CARPLAY CABLE - Love CarPlay but hate the cable? ...this wireless option has worked great for you, turning your wired CarPlay into a wireless connection! plug and play After successfully pairing the device's Bluetooth WiFi for the first time, it will easily connect to your iPhone every time you get into your car. It's much easier than connecting a phone. Ideal for hands-free driving, especially on short trips where you don't want to take your phone out of your pocket to connect.
