Review on Diono Convertible Engineering Protection Mineral by Tara Laven

Overall I am very satisfied with this car seat. Well done first time! I liked the many features this car seat has to offer, especially the build quality, comfort (approved for children) and safety features. Let me give some context. This is my second car seat. I basically searched for best or best car seats from numerous sources. The two that reappeared on top car seat lists were this one and my other. First I got my other one and then this Diono. So why only 4 stars? The only complaints are the seatbelt release mechanism, shoulder pads, and rearward-facing recline adapter base. Everything is good, but I have some criticism. The seat belt release mechanism does not release easily in the rear-facing position. It will be excellent in the forward-facing position. The shoulder pads have too big a gap between the baby and the large shoulder pads, and the large shoulder pads need some protection so that the edge of the belt does not touch the neck. The harness goes through two holders but is bare between them. But the quality of the materials is excellent. This is actually only a problem when tightening and loosening the seat belt, you just have to make sure that the belt doesn't slip on your skin. Finally, the backward-leaning base can be a bit aggressive. The base is solid so there is no space between them if there is not enough space. My other car seat has recline, which allows me to recline in a more upright position in a small car and still stay within an acceptable range of seat angle. The cushioning is excellent. The design allows for easier access while maintaining side protection and retention. The ARB is fixed in the car seat, unlike others that simply insert but are not fixed. I recommend watching and reading the reviews to learn more about the highlights. These are observations that weren't necessarily in the reviews I've read and viewed.
