I bought this drill in January 2018. I had intentions of using it for light projects like IKEA fur screws and light drilling. Turns out my mother-in-law needed her doorknobs. and the latches have changed, but the holes in her door were not large enough to accommodate today's standard doors and latches. So I bought a door installation kit and started drilling holes in 3 solid wood core exterior doors. I started this project 3 weeks ago and just finished today. I can only drill halfway through the door before the drill literally stops drilling through the door. At first I suspected I had simply forgotten to charge the battery, but noticed that I put the battery back on the charger and it blinked green. Indicates that the battery is still charged. 1 of 2 things happen: either the battery dies before I can fully drill 1 door, or the drill bit overheats. Today I took my time drilling, stopping every few minutes to let the drill rest. And when the problem described above occurred, I put the battery on the charger and took a break for an hour. When I came back the drill had the same problem. So I tend to think the battery isn't strong enough for the job. However, it is great for assembling Ikea furniture and drilling holes for screws.
