More work than it's worth

Have used this pasta maker 4 times and am very dissatisfied with it. First, as soon as you boil down the water and add the noodles, the boiling water will flow out of the seam between the main pot and the noodle pot, even though there is a minimal amount of water. It requires a lot of clean up after cooking, wiping down the stovetop to remove the noodles from the muddy water. When the noodles are ready to be taken out, you will need to use hot pads as the metal handles get very hot. When you take out the pot of pasta, you have to put it somewhere. Because the pot is very hot, you cannot safely place it on the counter or in the sink. I use a pizza pan to set it up. So, in addition to cleaning the stove, you should also clean the main pot, the pasta pot, the lid and, in my case, the pizza pan. More hassle than just boiling pasta in a standard saucepan and pouring it into a colander. I'm wrapping up this $80 pasta cooker and donating it to charity. I'll be replacing it with a Bialetti pasta maker with a resealable lid and insulated handles for about $30. be easy!

Cons
  • Lots of stuff
