I bought this with the recommended newer hard case. This pocket organizer holds all of my tech stuff including a MacBook charger and cables, two iPad chargers, an iPhone charger, a Fitbit charging cable, a small USB-C dock, two iPhone cables, a universal charging cable, a couple of AAA batteries, some flash drives and some flat velcro. It works much better than a hard case, which is bulkier, heavier and more difficult to pack and harder to get in and out of. This low profile pocket organizer makes it much easier to see, organize and access your "stuff". I bought a dark gray bag for my tech stuff. I plan to buy two more - RED for my personal/medical kit (stick-on patches, painkillers, antacids, eye drops, wipes, etc.) and BLUE for my tools. This way it will be very easy for me to take only the tools I need.
