I like the compact size for traveling. I didn't want to carry around a bottle of makeup remover, so I looked for something practical. The pads are very thin, so if you pick one up, it could actually be two pads glued together. Judging by the size of the glass it appears to be mostly filled to the brim, but due to the thin pods it's actually less than half full. The pads are transparent because they are thin. That's about half the thickness of a makeup remover pad. The pad diameter is about 1.5 inches. I don't wear a lot of eye make-up so one pad is enough. If you wear moderate to heavy makeup, you will most likely need more than one pad. Wipes are better when you apply more makeup. Some reviews mentioned burning, but I haven't had this issue. The jar seals tight so you don't have to worry about it spilling in your suitcase. were quite wet but there was no excess makeup remover in the jar, hope my review helps!
