I LOVE my Dobie sponges as they clean everything so well but won't scratch kitchen utensils. I saw them and decided to try them as they looked the same but were a lot cheaper. Out of the box, they appear to be the same product and work exceptionally well for a while, but then the sponge suddenly "collapses" and goes flat. It doesn't absorb much dish soap anymore, and because it's so shallow it's even harder to hold with dish mitts. I am so disappointed! My Dobie sponges retain their bouncy sponge shape and while the non-scratching Scrub-It outer layer doesn't tear as easily as a Dobie sponge, it's not worth ever buying a crumbling sponge again. I'm including a photo of a perfectly intact Scrub-It next to a torn Dobie. See how flat and collapsed it is? If they could combine the Dobie Sponge with the sturdy Scrub-It look, they would have a superb product that we all chefs would love for years to come! That's how I stick to my dobies.
