Get the job done once you figure it out.

Works. So far I've only used it on the low power setting. I control the transmitter with an old laptop that I used to stream music from Google Play Music to my home stereo. The quality of the signal seems to improve with the quality of the radio used for reception. I have two home stereos and a high quality portable FM shortwave. Each radio indicates that I am receiving a strong stereo signal. However, the cheaper the radio, the worse the signal quality, in my opinion. I had some trouble getting the transmitter signal strength right to get my cheap boombox sounding decent. What finally worked was placing the antenna perpendicular to the transmitting antenna. So maybe the transmitter is overloading a cheap radio's ability to handle a strong signal. So this is most likely not the fault of this device. Another key to using this device effectively is to use your own patch cord. The noise decreased when I used a higher quality cable. Don't overload the input either. Adjust the volume to around 60-70%. Other reviews are correct, the fan is too loud and sounds like it's falling apart. It's so annoying that I can open this unit and put in a better fan. Also, the instructions that come with the device are minimal and need a bit of deciphering. It's not the worst Chinese I've read, but it could be better. The fan and directions are where this device lost a star. I did not ask for or receive anything to write this review.
