First I actually TALKED to someone in the FCC and this device is free for use in the US without a license. So if I get arrested, I'm taking this FCC guy with me. Coverage is excellent and after some adjustments to the input and output volume I found a good setting. We cover our parking lot (4 rows of cars) with no problem (actually I could drive about 2 blocks before it disappeared).

Today we installed the device in our church and turned on the music CD to check the sound. Was great. Our IT guy said he's never heard our sound so well. After we service the cars we put them in the vault on the lowest setting and use them for people with hearing impairments. We had many parts to make an outdoor/drive-in cinema film for our small community. This is a great way to maintain social distancing and still have a social event. This device works very well given the small telescopic antenna. However, I recommend purchasing an external antenna, especially if used at high power. If your device is humming, you can also try moving different cables until the hum goes away. This has almost always worked for me. I would say this is a great deal for the money. The supplied power supply is a two-pole power supply and therefore a floating power supply, which in my experience generates a 60Hz hum when transmitting. Works. So far I've only used it on the low power setting. I control the transmitter with an old laptop that I used to stream music from Google Play Music to my home stereo. The quality of the signal seems to improve with the quality of the radio used for reception. I have two home stereos and a high quality portable FM shortwave.
