Review on πŸ“» BaseWish 7W 1W FM Transmitter: Mini Radio Stereo Station with LCD, Antenna, and Audio Cable - Ideal for Drive-in Church, SuperMarket, School (Black) by Paul Sanchez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Loud fan but good signal.

I would say this is a great deal for the money. The supplied power supply is a two-pole power supply and therefore a floating power supply, which in my experience generates a 60Hz hum when transmitting. I replaced it with Kastar AC Adapter DC 12 3 Pin Power Adapter 12V 6A 72W Tip Size 5.5*2.5mm for LCD Monitor LCD TV LED Strip 5050 3528 5630 Tape Light Tube WiFi Router, ADSL cats, CCTV camera that solved this problem. The fan is easily 5 times louder and has a much higher frequency than an almost identical 7 watt device (RioRand(TM) Upgraded RR7C+ FM Transmitter Mini Radio PLL LCD Stereo Station with Antenna). I must have a lemon, but I won't return it, just for a little noise - but if it bothers you, this one might be better for you: Signstek 0.5W 05B Dual Mode Long Range Stereo Broadcast Home FM Transmitter with Antenna and Free Audio Cable *Fashion Black* as it is absolutely silent - it has no fan. I have used a 7 watt unit since 2015 with no problems and 6 x 0.5 watt units since 2016 also without problems but this unit was ordered on April 28th 2017 so time will tell - I will do this review update when it dies. UPDATE: I moved it to the garage and added a mag mount car antenna and now I'm getting 15-20 blocks range with only 5 watts! Just unbelievable! I learned two tricks for turning down the fan volume - take out the hearing aids and take them to the garage! LAUGH OUT LOUD
