This device works very well given the small telescopic antenna. However, I recommend purchasing an external antenna, especially if used at high power. If your device is humming, you can also try moving different cables until the hum goes away. This has almost always worked for me. If this does not eliminate the hum, try moving the transmitter to a different outlet or location away from other high-power electronics. To increase the power level, press and hold the power button while plugging in the device, then release when the menu appears. Press and hold the Power button to scroll through the different options and press the Up/Down button to change the options. The up and down buttons can also be used to change channels while the device is transmitting. A quick note: make sure you broadcast at least 4 locations of licensed stations in your area so those stations don't complain to your country's government who will seek you out using referral methods and shut you down. For example, if the station is on 92.1, you should use 92.5 if 92.5 is free. Overall I would say it's worth the money. I was surprised and impressed by the range it covers even at low power.
