I decided to build a new system, a real muscle car and this heatsink should keep my 17-10700 from overheating. Very disappointing. The thing doesn't screw in to attach its own bracket to the motherboard. I even screwed it in little by little, 2-3 turns of the screw on each side, just so one side kept popping out. A headshell that doesn't stay in place is useless to me or anyone else. It doesn't look like the screw hole or steps on the screw have been ripped off. Maybe a deeper thread? Maybe metal is better? Either way it's useless to me. Send back.
