GPS - Garmin nüvi 2757LM 7" Portable Car GPS with Lifetime Maps - [0624 - 8 Aug 2015] I have used a Garmin GPS for several years and have been very happy with it. It had some issues: the maps were a few years old and it had a small screen, plus I was planning a big trip. All reasons that justified the new model. I stuck with the Garmin brand and bought the 2757LM with a 7 inch screen. PROS: 1. What a nice improvement: 7" screen compared to 4.5" on my previous Garmin.2. When you approach a freeway exit in this model, the screen will split and the image of the exit and the real name of the sign will be displayed on the right side - not only cool looking but also useful.3. Easily customizable maps show restaurants and gas stations by brand name. Most of the time I don't care about this feature as it clutters the screen, but some will find it very useful.4. Lifetime cards are a great feature. Plug your device into your computer's USB port - go to the Garmin website and follow the simple instructions. CONS: 1. Well, it didn't come with a charger - it came with my old Garmin. This confused me at first, but you can charge it via the USB cable (included) so it's fine. You can buy a wall charger if you need one. In my experience, when ordering a GPS, I bought the following extras from Revain: a friction mount, sunscreen, and a soft zippered storage case. I didn't like the suction cup. used on my previous gps - painful to put on and then sometimes let go while driving - cheers! The Garmin friction mount is fantastic and I would highly recommend it - check it out at Revain. For ten bucks I bought a sunshade that slid across the screen and was very helpful in blocking sun glare. I don't like leaving my GPS inside. complete look but wanted an item that would hold the item securely and protect the screen. The very large Garmin hard case sold at Revain fits me perfectly. If you are looking for a GPS, I highly recommend this model.
