I knew from previous experience with other reasonably priced brush sets Knowing what to expect from this set so wasn't disappointed. A separate-tipped brush was included, and some of these lost their protective caps, which could cause the bristles to warp in transit. But when I bought this brush set for $1.42, I wanted to use it to stock up on sculpting brushes. My brushes are beaten; Streaks, rust and dry cleaning of enamel products take their toll. As my brushes wear out, I grab a pair of scissors and convert them from a regular pointed brush to a flat brush for blending rust and weathering products. Other smaller brushes get the same scissor treatment—they're trimmed and the tip reshaped—to a detail brush. With them, I would dip the bristles in water, then spray my hair with hairspray (from the dollar store), squeeze out the water, and shape the tip into a sharp spear—the result was a brush perfect for painting. "Chips" on my models of armored vehicles. You can buy an expensive set and hope it lasts, or extend the life of your brushes in that set by modifying, reshaping, and reusing them.
