Delivers as advertised and more.

My son has CVI and is on the spectrum. Buying toys can be challenging for him, he needs something to keep his attention, something to keep his fingers busy, but nothing visually distracting or overwhelming. Toys must be large enough not to be difficult to see and solid primary colors, otherwise he will lose the edges of the shape and be unable to identify it. You are perfect! I was surprised at the quality of the plastic, I was expecting them to be cheap like most standard shape sorters that break when thrown, but they are good, thick and strong. I was happy. The only thing that surprised me was the size of the bag. In the product photo, a small child is wearing the bag as a backpack. This is not our experience. If you read the product dimensions, they will more closely match what you will receive. The bag was large enough to hold all of the toy's parts and we appreciated the ease of cleaning, which closely mimics the work he does with his therapists. The colors were vivid and accurate, making them easy for him to see. The size of the edges of the nuts and the motion of their rotation really encourages kids to develop their claw grip which is the foundation of most of the skills they will develop. My son loves the traditional way of loosening and tightening nuts and bolts, but will also become obsessed with them as "wheels". He will rotate the toy around the axis as in a dream, but he likes the feeling of movement. I was impressed that this toy exceeded my expectations and I will most likely be buying the boards as gifts for his therapists this holiday season or more of these sets. It is a toy that does both aspects of therapy and a toy that is fun yet educational. My son's therapists are also very religious, they often pull this toy out of his toy box to work on him using it as I used to do. does not count. A versatile fun toy.
