This was exactly what I was looking for. I like socks with grip so kids don't crush them on the tile floor. As is the good waist length to provide ankle protection or to wear with high tops or boots. They meet all of these needs. My child has swollen toddler feet and currently wears 8 wide shoes and is still aiming for 9 wide for these socks to fit in those sizes. The same size 3T-5T from another brand is starting to fit her snugly. This brand in sizes 3T-5T will definitely fit her foot perfectly when she goes to size 9 and most likely 10 so I bought a second pack. As for the description, my child wears clothing size 3T-4T, so these socks fit a toddler in those sizes. As I assume they fit in two more shoe sizes I would say they would fit a 5T kid.
