We bought 11 sets of these outdoor lights. They are bright and the various features are amazing. But even the best batteries don't last more than a week or so. Constantly changing batteries is very expensive! They don't come with a remote control which would be very useful for controlling how many hours they run to save battery life. If you plan to use them from time to time I would recommend them. However, if you plan on using them daily, I would suggest leaving them plugged in for better light control and avoiding standing in the rain or snow to manually turn them off to conserve battery life. The timer function also worked well initially for several days. Then they started turning on an hour earlier than the day before. This is a great idea but will require a bit of work if you want to use it as part of your outdoor holiday decor.
