Review on Bonavita Connoisseur BV1901TS: Premium 8-Cup One-Touch Stainless Steel Coffee Maker with Thermal Carafe and Hanging Filter Basket by Karl Swift

This is a great coffee maker. With clear instructions on how to use a feature option, it's easy to get started right out of the box. This option is used to "bloom" the coffee grounds to remove accumulated CO2 that can affect flavor. To enable this option, all you have to do is hold down the ON button for a few seconds. I love the simplicity of the machine and the double-walled carafe keeps the coffee warm for a long time (although I recommend warming the inside by running 2 cups of water through the machine beforehand if you want it to stay warm for longer than an hour of brewing or filling the carafe with hot tap water for a minute or two). My biggest complaint is that the only thing that should make this car great is its "shower" sprinkler system. It is designed with many holes, but as far as I can see only two holes work in my case. The coffee tastes good, but I'm not sure if it offers the same depth or balance as a brew. -Above. Perhaps this is because the irrigation system is not working properly. I would give 4/5 stars for design, ease of use and performance but am deducting one star because it doesn't work as advertised. We are awaiting a response from Bonavita. Image 1 - Brows. You can clearly see the sprinkler system and the fact that only two holes are working. Apparently the water was coming mostly from the central hole and the soils along the outside edge of the filter weren't as saturated. Two small dry spots are visible at about 2 o'clock and 3 o'clock from the center. Video 1 - Brew Cycle. 4 cups of water give a steeping time of just over 5 minutes. The purpose of posting a full brew cycle video is to illustrate that most of the sprinkler system is not working. Updated April 20, 2020 Customer service was easy to deal with. I contacted them online and sent the same photos and videos that I posted here. After being asked to fill out an online form that they linked me to via email, I was informed that they would be sending me a brand new machine. It's arrived, and while not all the holes in their "showerhead" design are active all the time, it seems to be working MUCH more efficiently than the original. I have raised my rating to 4 stars. If the machine continues to work well for a month or so, I may come back and upgrade the rating to 5 stars. Not every product can be perfect, but if your customer service is good and easy to use, I will return to your company.
