Bonavita Connoisseur BV1901TS: Premium 8-Cup One-Touch Stainless Steel Coffee Maker with Thermal Carafe and Hanging Filter Basket Review

Bought a few weeks ago. This is a nice coffee maker, but here are my issues with it. When an alarm goes off that your coffee is ready, it really isn't. You must either wait another 2-3 minutes for it to drain or remove the filter basket by placing a paper towel underneath. The coffee isn't hot enough when it's ready and if you've waited those 2-3 minutes to drip it will be cooler because the entire top of the carafe is exposed because there isn't a drip hole in the lid so you can use the Carafe

I've been using it for 3 weeks now and am very satisfied so far. The coffee is real brewed and tastes way better than the old Cuisinart Grind N' Brew I've had for years. They appear to have addressed 2 people's complaints about the 1900 model. This carafe is 1.3 liters while the old carafe was 1.7 liters. A small carafe retains heat better. Based on other reviews I was very nervous about buying this coffee maker. I bought Mr. coffee and poured hot water as they suggested before use. After two hot water cycles, my backsplash wall and upper cabinets were damp (even pulled back and out of the cabinet). It was almost as expensive as Bonavita. Purchased BV1901TS on December 17, 2018 for $129.49. Around August 28, 2019, it suffered a catastrophic failure.
