Review on Bonavita Connoisseur BV1901TS: Premium 8-Cup One-Touch Stainless Steel Coffee Maker with Thermal Carafe and Hanging Filter Basket by Micah Manus

Based on other reviews I was very nervous about buying this coffee maker. I bought Mr. coffee and poured hot water as they suggested before use. After two hot water cycles, my backsplash wall and upper cabinets were damp (even pulled back and out of the cabinet). It was almost as expensive as Bonavita. I quickly sent it back and got nervous about buying another coffee maker. Are they going to leave that much vapor in the air now? (I've had my first coffee maker in almost 25 years.) I LOVE my Bonavita. The taste is exceptional. I didn't even realize that my other coffee that was on the burner actually made it bitter. I had no idea what was wrong with me. Second, it's designed to look stylish and clean. I like that it doesn't have a clock function. It's button and it's easy to clean, wash. Third, FAST. Boils the pot very quickly. (Love the beep feature when it's done.) Fourth, it's very hot, and even after an hour, it's still hot and I don't have to reheat it. I was very nervous that it would cool down quickly after reading other reviews. No, even after an hour it is still not warm and it still tastes just as good as the first time. I bought this model because of the better insulation and the temperature of the coffee doesn't matter. I know people complain about not being able to put the lid on the grounds bin. But I just take out the thick one, pour it out and rinse anyway after the pot has brewed. I do not understand what is going on. Also, I read that people have trouble filling the water tank. I had no problems filling the tank or leaking the pot. I would rather have this size than the 14-16 inch creators. I was looking for a faired version around 12 inches. And I found it. So don't let other people's reviews hold you back. I'm a budget conscious person and I'm so glad I bought it.
