I am writing this because most of the reviews on this product are inaccurate. This adapter works with external hard drives as long as the hard drive has its own power supply. And I did not see that this very important detail was described in detail. This device takes two ports and turns them into four. I have a self-powered 6TB hard drive and haven't noticed any loss of speed or communication with the hard drive. I also had a Bluetooth headset and played with the attached controls for faster response times. In my opinion. Again, we're just trying to give the best possible feedback. I recently bought this and have had no issues with my external hard drive plugged into the blue port and no issues with my mics or charging. In my opinion, PS4 controller charging fits everything I described. But if you want to connect a mouse, keyboard, or a USB-powered hard drive, then this is a troublesome device for you. But let's put it this way, give it one star because it doesn't do what you hoped it would. that would be unfair, and while reviewing this appendix, I felt that the information in the reviews was grossly inappropriate and accurate.
