DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! This product has very poor build quality and is not worth the money at all. I've bought two already and both times one of the USB ports was damaged. I thought the design looked good with the PS4 but ended up being poorly assembled and damaged.

I read reviews after purchase that external hard drives etc. are not supported. For me it works perfectly. My PS4 works with a 5TB hard drive with no external power supply, a USB keyboard, a fan stand with controller chargers, and a USB headset. Bought for all of this. Works perfectly! So far there are no problems. Highly recommended!

Can I give 0 stars? I give 0 stars. First, the item feels cheap, flimsy, and plasticky and might break if I look at it too closely. Second, my external hard drive locked up after failing to read it and I had to reformat and re-download 700GB games. Thanks for that. The good thing is that the little blue LED actually lights up when the system is powered on. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The USB3 connector and the regular USB2 at the end (the same two slots as on the PS4 itself) are the only two connectors that work. I don't know if it's drawing enough power for others or what, but I can't get my wireless keyboard or headset adapter to work anywhere else. My external hard drive is powered on but even it says there was a problem and won't work when I try to install it in a different slot than these two. All the USB ports are also swapped.

This article does not work as I would like it to. Only 2 USB ports will work, so if you have more than 2, it shows that it is difficult to turn on other devices connected to the USB port. My advice to anyone reading this review is to get some USB ports that will give you the option of plugging it into an outlet. The reason is simple: the USB port not only pulls power from the Ps4, but also receives it from a second source. Those that can fully power all devices connected to the USB port.

This is great for being able to use multiple USB devices, although my only issue was not being able to use my external storage hardware as it required a direct connection to the PS4 console. Also, this product has worked great for me; In fact, I also use the PS4 Slim vertical stand and it fits perfectly, although I would recommend connecting a hub with 4 USB ports before installing the PS4 Slim on your stand unless it is horizontal. All in all a great product and I can only recommend it.

I am writing this because most of the reviews on this product are inaccurate. This adapter works with external hard drives as long as the hard drive has its own power supply. And I did not see that this very important detail was described in detail. This device takes two ports and turns them into four. The product arrived quickly, was easy to install and looks like it was specially designed for the PS4 Slim and although all the connections worked, not all worked properly. This basically installs over the PS4 Slim's front USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, adding a USB 3.1 pass-through port and 3 USB 2.0 ports.
