I bought the DUOMEIQI 8GB (2 x 4GB) 2RX8 PC3-12800 kit for a 2010 27" iMac with i3 processor. There are many memory issues with these old ones iMacs so I was afraid it wouldn't work, but it was cheap and I had other devices to use it in. Although it's faster memory, they work fine with the original 4GB (2x2 GB). OSX runs 1000% times better with 12GB of memory. With 4GB the system was useless. I'm pretty sure this will work in a 2011 iMac and the speed spec is correct for 2011. In 2010 the memory will run with it the same speed as the original 4GB so faster RAM isn't an issue Don't worry about all the talk about having to buy special memory for 2010, they s ind perfect, no failures in 3 months 24/7 operation. If you have a 2010 i5 or i7 iMac, you can use 8GB modules to add even more memory, but the i3 won't boot with 8GB modules, so stick with those 4GB and it'll feel like a new computer feel.
