Review on πŸ”Š Bose SoundLink Mini II Limited Edition Wireless Bluetooth Speaker by Kim Smith

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great hardware, Bluetooth and battery not great

Sound is exactly what you'd expect from Bose, no surprise. This speaker is also a reservoir so don't worry about accidental drops because it will just wipe them off, no problem. On the downside, the software inside is pretty finicky. The biggest problems with Bluetooth usually appear within the first few minutes of pairing. I noticed that if my phone isn't already playing music, the pairing doesn't happen automatically. Also, he happily grabs any device that has been connected in the past. For example, I usually play music from my iPhone, but it often connects to my laptop (which is closed and powered off) while I'm streaming music from my phone. Another problem is using the device until the battery dies. I often let it go from 100% to dead. But as soon as it dies and I plug it in to charge, it doesn't turn on Bluetooth until it's fully charged. Therefore, you should be aware of the battery life. It's better to hunt for a charger for 10 minutes without music than to play it all the time and wait for it to fully charge again.
