Wrong Swan packaging - make sure you choose the right sealant!

When I first installed the Bermuda Sand Swanstone tub surround in the 1990's, Swanstone offered the correct finish under their own brand. When we replaced the fairing in 2015 (due to renovations) I ordered sealant from Home Depot and got this RDPro sealant from Sienna - it wasn't packaged with the Swanstone branding and I thought that was wrong. But no, it turned out to be the right seal. I wasn't very impressed with the quality of the RDPro sealant as it was thick and didn't flatten out well. I found out later that this was because the sealant was old and dried out. As many reviewers here have learned, old sealant is being sold to customers with poor results. I wanted a new tube and ordered from here instead (seller was "Bath1"). I received a sealed box with a Swanstone label that said "Bermuda Sand" but the seal said "Grey Granite" which was clearly incorrect. I contacted the seller and they quickly sent me a new tube, also in a box labeled Bermuda Sand, but the tube itself was correctly 'Sienna'. Also, like many other reviewers, I have found that the manufacturer's packaging allows the hose to damage the nozzle during shipping as the length of the box is not long enough to hold the hose in length. If the box is hit/thrown/etc. is forced to bend the nozzle. Luckily in my case the damage was minimal and the seal intact. This hose felt fresh and the sealant flows very well. A definite improvement over what I had before. The color matches Swanstone's current 'Bermuda Sand' colourway, although I'm annoyed to note that Swan has changed the color of the material over the years. The old color was a little grayer. I have samples of old and new finishes and you can see the difference. During the remodel I had to buy a new sink because the old sink (Bermuda sand from the 1990s) no longer fit on the rim of the tub. My advice is not to blindly accept what comes in the box. Swan is obviously mislabeling or packaging some of the sealants and what you receive may not be what was intended. If the tube is damaged during shipping, ask your dealer to replace it.
