GE GE284 Kitchen Silicone Squeeze Review

The product quality is very low, this is the worst silicone I have ever used. It didn't hold up well and had to be reapplied after a day or two. Feel like a waste of time and money.

I used it on the kitchen sink but it just ran out after 3-4 days. No matter how much it costs, these products must be bought out of necessity, which was a waste of money and time. I have to find and buy another one and do it again and again. So disappointed.

Sealant is fine but this tube burst at the back when I squeezed it. It was a complete disaster, a huge silicone ball got into the tub and I had to wipe it off quickly. Luckily I was wearing gloves so I could rip them off for quicker cleaning and I also bought a spare hose. Next time I will use a caulking gun.

Other silicone sealants are a lot stickier and I have a terribly hard time squeezing the plastic tubes (must be strong and big hands for some of them) making it difficult to get a smooth, even to get caterpillar . . These tubes are much lighter for a woman (in my opinion) and they are dry enough to use in 1 hour instead of a day! Best I've ever used and I've tried several.

I bought 3 of these as they only weigh 2.8 ounces compared to regular 10 ounce tubes of sealant. I was afraid I wouldn't have enough to do my shower and kitchen. I made the whole house in a tube, and there's still a little bit in there! They require a lot of grip strength to work with. So if you do a lot and often, cartridge guns are obviously the best option for you, but for someone like me who only does something like this a few times in their life , it's perfect. Less than 2 minutes into the start of the project, the bottom of the tube opened up, the sealant spilled out and successfully landed over my gloves and onto my skin. The product looks good but something was wrong with the structure of the tube.

Tests. In a kitchen, the seam between granite countertops and wall tiles can be less than 1/8 inch. A caulking gun can apply too much sealant if you're not a pro.
