Review on OtterBox DEFENDER SERIES SCREENLESS EDITION Case for Samsung Galaxy S10e - BLACK by Tone Hatton

Generally good, some compromises

So I bought the S10e because I have small hands and needed a phone that was easy to hold with one hand. Wearing this shell reduces this ability. I can still trace it with my fingers, but it's a bit more difficult. It feels quite thick and durable, which is important as this is an expensive phone and I want to protect it as much as possible. I love the port covers, but it takes a bit of work to open, slide, and close them. The case is definitely a pain to take off. It's easy to put on. But once it's on, you better never take it off. I tried pulling it in different directions and still couldn't get it off. I have to solve most of it, but there is one side that doesn't move no matter what I do. My phone slid out on an open side while trying to detach the entire case. Even after that, I still couldn't solve the last page. Also, the volume buttons are harder to press, requiring a little more effort. I like the holster/belt clip because it helps protect the screen. I don't wear straps so I would never use a clip for this, but it seems like a good screen cover, especially if you have a messy wallet like mine and don't want to accidentally have anything in your pocket. Screen. This will push my screen protector a little to one side. There are two bubbles of these, but so far they're not too big and don't interfere with my use of the screen. Swiping from the edge of the screen is also a bit trickier (I ended up turning off the edge of the screen), but not impossible. Overall, the case feels solid, but there are a few tradeoffs to consider if you want a solid, thick case.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Annoying
