This kit is suitable for 2001-2003 E39 headlights. I have a 2001 525i. This job took me over 6 hours. The long adjuster that goes next to the low beam was relatively easy, if you use a piece of tape as shown in the YouTube video the square adapter is much more difficult and it took me the full 3 hours to figure out what caused it was not getting it right because the piece was too big to fit where it should. It's about 1mm too much and 1mm too high so I filed to bring the broken piece together and it went in in less than 5 minutes. The second set was fast, took me about 30 minutes and after hitting the square piece, it hit on the second try! My headlights now work perfectly and I can see at night again. I give 4 stars because one of the controls didn't fit.
