1) They are so absorbent they hardly look like cotton. At first I thought they might be starched (they're pretty hard straight out of the box), which makes them good for decorating bathrooms or kitchens. Well, when it comes to their actual use, they're pretty much useless. After 2-3 washes, they still resemble nylon fabric that doesn't absorb anything at all when dried. Maybe I need to wash them more often? 2) Update: After about 6-8 washes and almost failing, they look and feel more like cotton. The absorption has improved significantly. Although they are softer, they don't wrinkle as much as I feared. I changed my rating from 2 to 5 runs. I'm confused.
