Update 04/12/21: Stops working properly after several months of daily use. I've cleaned the block as best I can and even disassembled it, but nothing looks out of place. It brews maybe 1/5 cup and then splashes endlessly before slowly pouring the water out of the bottom. I'm so disappointed because up to this point it's been a cute and efficient coffee maker. The return/exchange period has expired so I had no luck with the new one. I will not buy again. Original Review: I've been using this device daily for almost a month. It fits most of my mugs except my 16 ounce tall. I love that it's a simple on/off switch and the coffee tastes the same as a regular 12 cup coffee maker. I love this coffee maker with one notable exception. Reusable coffee filters are garbage. I had to replace the block because the first filter I ordered broke after two uses. It's okay, the replacement came quickly and without problems. The second filter lasted 3 times before I noticed the coffee grounds in my coffee and discovered a small crack. Reusable filters are custom sized, requiring a full refund to get a replacement. I use regular coffee grounds. I gently washed the first filter with a sponge and simply washed the second with lukewarm water. Both eventually failed, so I have to think it's the design. I couldn't find any one-time filters that fit in the shopping cart, but I found a workaround. I put a 1-4 cup filter between the basket and the reusable filter. So far it has worked well and I can enjoy my cup of coffee without a sap. I would like the company to make a better filter or sell a replacement separately. Basically I am satisfied with the device.
