Review on ⚡️ Pyramex WHAM3030FM Leadhead Darkening Safety Glasses by Fisseha Rodgers

I have had this helmet for about 7 months and I am very frustrated. I bought this hood in January 2018 and up until May of this year it was working exactly as I expected. I'm in a welding program at a local college, so I didn't weld at all over the summer, and the hood sat in the garage until August (California weather, so I know no moisture got into the electronics). Now that the school has resumed fall school, the hood doesn't work at all. It does not dim until a full second has elapsed after the arc started. At this point the arc has flashed in my eyes so I still can't see and I have to stop and wait for my eyes to adjust again. Another issue is that it doesn't get dark at all when I'm more than a foot and a half from the arch, which isn't good enough considering the instructor is demonstrating to the entire class and I can stand up to 10 feet away. . Considering this hood was $90 when I bought it, it's only been 7 months and it doesn't really work anymore, I'm not thrilled. Yes I changed the sensitivity, no I'm not in grind mode, yes I put new batteries in, yes I changed the clear lenses to make sure the sensors aren't blocked. Now I have to spend more money on additional gear or use the school's cheap gear that works better than this! This product is below the price I paid for it and I would not recommend it if you plan on using it for more than a few months.
