So you've been eyeing a new set of cordless tools for weeks and really need one of the Big 3 sets, but my goodness, that's a lot of money! The tools keep scratching my heart, but they're almost too cheap, and my neighbor doesn't have Skil tools in his $50,000 hobby garage, does he? But you've read the reviews, you've seen the ProTools review, and you think maybe, just maybe, they're pretty good? It is true. Received this set along with a sidekick and an oscillating tool for work (light work, golf cart assembly and home/car maintenance) and am just happy. The drill is strong enough, you can feel the torque when you pull the trigger. It will shut off if you press too hard on your work piece, but just reduce the pressure and let it do its thing (your drill bits will last longer too). Lower torque settings are great for not overloading screws in plastic parts. But the real star is the impact wrench. Perfect fit for my XL paw, great balance with 2.0 battery, amazing glow and phenomenal performance. . I couldn't loosen a few bolts, nor would my buddy's 18v Makita budge (the air tool took it off like it was never tight, a whole different animal). Great battery life, no jump function needed but it's great, as are the USB ports on both the charger and the batteries (no, you can't charge your battery via USB, why would you even think that?) and of course The range of tools isn't as wide as the Big 3, but for the price you just can't go wrong. And a 5 year warranty (register within 30 days!) Big 3 Power Tool and Tool Truck warranty is ONE year. Anyway, that's my opinion after a year of use, hope it helps!
