I was impressed from the moment I opened the box. It is carefully packaged and was really fun to open. I was a bit intimidated when I started, thinking it would challenge my limited technical skills. Luckily I was wrong. It's very easy. It even comes with a wireless charging dock and second wiring harness. That way I never look for a cable and have a spare cable while the other gets washed. The GPS device is smaller than a pack of chewing gum. It attaches to the top of the harness and sits on my cat's back. Doesn't strain your neck. I started using this on our harness only cat for a few hours. The first few times she tried to wriggle out. But when she started associating it with catnip or a brief stint on a leash on a sunny deck, she eventually put 2 and 2 together and had us practicing without a fight. Then they started installing GPS. It's been a slow transition for us from being a diva-like kitty to adjusting, but we've made it. Last year she was a little worried about something in the yard. She accidentally slammed the screen and disappeared. She is a house cat only and we panicked. We put cat litter outside so she can absorb her scent and hopefully come home. She did. It wasn't until 4 a.m. that our surveillance cameras switched on. Since then she has been dying to get back on the road. We're nervous that she might run away if the circumstances are right. The day she embarked on her adventure was a terrible one. We live near forest and water and fields. It could easily be lost or worse. This gives us some confidence that if she gives us a Houdini cat show, we can find her. We tried it. We hope we never have to use it on our cat, but wanted to make sure we knew how, so I asked my husband to take it on a short drive so I could familiarize myself with the app, and vice versa . It's super easy and convenient. The only thing you have to remember is to turn it on after charging. It turns off automatically when connected to the charger and needs to be turned on each time.
