Very misleading product title and description.
I bought these lids to use with wide mouth fermentation jars. The name and description indicate that they are intended for a wide neck. When I received the package they are definitely the size for regular mouth jars and although regular jars fit a wide mouth there is just too much room around the rims for a proper seal for fermentation.
- PRACTICAL DESIGN. The convex, plum-shaped handle design makes it easy to place these weights in and out of Mason cans without tools, and provides a much more stable solution than other corrugated weights. The sloped top provides drainage rather than a bowl or flat surface, which can lead to residue and unwanted bacterial growth.
