Review on JFG RACING Dirt Bike Headlight H4 12V 35W Universal Motorcycle Headlights - Black by Veeravelu Tang

Pretty decent light, worth the money

I chose this for an old XR600R that I've been working on recently. I rebuilt the entire bike and didn't have the original headlight. I didn't keep everything original so I jumped at the chance to try this slightly more modern light for the price. (Currently around $27 on Prime). I really didn't expect it to be half as good as it is in this price range. It sits very well on the bike, both in terms of physical attachment and styling. Of course, the wiring didn't match my old XR, but it took 10 minutes to change the connector. I just plugged in the high beam as my bike is not set for high/low beam. The standard bulb was 35w, just like this one, so it works fine! The light includes some small plastic spacers to allow the light to be pushed further away from the bike, which is good because I needed them. Without them, the rubber feather duster covering the back of the bulb hit the frame neck. I've added spacers and they fit well and match the lines of the bike better too. If you're using these gaskets, do yourself a favor and get some nyloc nuts for the bolts. The ones that come with them don't snap into place and I didn't like the idea of twisting them so tight that they stay in place crushing the plastic in the process. The bolts have a conventional M6 metric thread. I used them and the washers that came with the locknuts only. Haven't tried it at night yet so can't comment on how bright the light is (or not) but worst case scenario I'll add an LED bulb and hook up a rectifier to make it work with my bikes A / light coil C The fact that It uses a standard H4 bulb means there are countless bulb options.
