Review on LG 32UL500-W Display - FreeSync Compatible 31.5" 4K UHD, Wall Mountable, 32UL500W, HD by Alex Robinson

So far so good in my review.

I'm not a gamer or filmmaker. I use this model as a student for productivity and entertainment. I chose this model as soon as I realized I was still missing quality USB-C monitors that would be the best option to use with my laptop. However, this is a good $300 budget 4k 32-inch monitor that I was able to easily mount on a handheld mount. I miss the USB-A ports on the back because it would be nice to put a monitor backlight there so there's less cable draping, but alas. This is what you get with the "Budget Option". It only has DP and HDMI inputs and one audio output. The fact that the monitor has speakers at this price point is a nice touch, but don't count on it. They're not loud at all. They're great for school-related multitasking and good value for boosting the performance of a laptop like my 2021 Macbook Air. I also took the Logitech keyboard and mouse required for this type of setup. BTW the LG software they advertise so much (window management apps and such) that they claim to come with this thing is rubbish. Just read the reviews on the Appstore. The good news is that there are other workarounds that can do the same thing. The image quality noticeably corresponds to 4k quality and is sometimes really wow. The text is clear, the eyes do not tire. Control is via a single inverted joystick button on the underside. It is turned off by pressing and sliding towards the back of the monitor. It would be better to see a separate power button, but then again. I'm happy with what I got for the price because it suits my specific needs.
