Big and soft push button ON/OFF, easy to use

Maximm cable 3ft internal 3 outlets extension cord with footswitch. I bought these devices for an old friend, teacher and colleague in the 80's who suffers from spinal stenosis, back pain and sciatica issues. He has an old-fashioned (vintage) adjustable gooseneck lamp that he can't reach because it's on the top shelf (50 inches off the floor) toward the back (18 inches deep) of the entertainment unit. The task for the average adult is to reach back and press the lamp's on/off button, for them it's quite painful. By installing this switchable power strip, he can gently press the large button/switch to easily turn the device on and off. It also has a Blu-ray player that sometimes "freezes" and doesn't respond to any button on the remote. , usually from one of the streaming applications (not from disk). The same thing happens here: He gently presses the large button/switch that "hardwires" the Blu-ray box into "Shutdown/Reset" mode. Then he gently presses the button again to turn the Blu-ray player back on and use it with the remote control. It would be very painful or almost impossible for him to bend down to unplug/disable the device. The position of the ON/OFF switch has of course been positioned for easy and convenient access. Buyers may need to make their own adjustments (for compensation). On the 3 foot extensions I've bought, the power switch is 14" to 15" from the plug, so the ON/OFF switch is near or about halfway, but closer to the plug/pin end. And thus a little further away from the 3 output receptors/socket end. The large and "soft" (light touch/press) power button has pleasant tactile feedback. The base of the button is approximately 6 cm or 2.3 inches in diameter. I am very glad that this type of big button extension cord worked well! Hooray! December 5, 2019
