COVID keeps me busy in my small home office. I have my work MacBook, my Windows laptop, and my old iMac all crammed into one small desk. To declutter my desk, I was looking for a Bluetooth keyboard that would work with all three. Which led me to this little wireless keyboard that pairs with three machines. Here's the good news: this is a well-made keyboard. It's fast. If you can type very quickly, the switches on this keyboard have strong tactile feedback that lets you press each key without having to fully press it. Unless you're a touch typist, this keyboard probably isn't for you. If you're touch typing, you have three key combinations you need to learn or you'll completely miss the benefits of this keyboard. It's a noisy keyboard for a reason. If you're touch typing, you might like the audible click with each key press. However, it's a cumbersome keyboard to use in a general workspace. This is a small keyboard, but it has full-size keys. This is great if you're typing with a small personal workspace. This requires some compromises. In order to make the keyboard small but keep full size keys, there are fewer keys than the standard 101 keyboard, this machine has multiple functions or layers for many keys. This keyboard has full-size arrow keys that occupy a plane. . Press Fn+Enter and this level will be disabled and the up arrow will now become a /? Key. The left arrow becomes the right Alt key and the right arrow becomes the right CTRL key. (Not sure what the down arrow is about.) Tada! In my case, I also need to switch keyboard functions from Windows to Mac. To do this, I press Fn + A or Fn + S. After that, I have access to any Windows or Apple functions. I can use Fn Q to switch to my work laptop, Fn W to switch to my Windows laptop, and Fn E to switch to my old iMac. Thanks to this keyboard for GREAT Bluetooth control and excellent power management. It stays securely connected to the machine I want to connect. It switches reliably on command. It reliably reconnects after falling asleep. It's even better than my old Apple Wireless Keyboard in that regard. Finally, the top row of keys acts both as a normal row of numbers and as function keys. To switch this layer, I pressed Fn + Ctrl to scroll back and forth. Admittedly, it takes a little getting used to memorizing these three shortcut keys. Instructions are few, but they are there and the keyboard works as advertised. It's a loud, clicky keyboard. I like it even though I have to close my office door or my wife will comment on the noise. The keyboard survived the first week of use on a single charge, so that seems acceptable. It is charged via the supplied USB cable. The battery is permanent and not hot-swappable. The buttons are soldered in, so they cannot be interchanged. The keycaps are interchangeable and I can just buy a new cap for the "WIN" button. Oh, it has a yellow backlight. I have the black version of these keyboards and they look nice, although I don't really need all those wave patterns. Layering doesn't bother me too much, but it's hard to get used to my wife laughing when I type. ._____I spent some more time with this keyboard and added a start. I found it easy to add Fn+Enter to toggle the arrow keys and Fn+Ctrl to toggle the function keys. I'm really happy with the ability to switch between three devices if needed. This really is a great keyboard for the money and the seller did a great job of delivering the keyboard in a very short time. They even sent a personal follow up email to make sure everything went well and all my questions were answered.
