Works best in the accessory for me
I needed something to hold my phone upright on the dash and it does it very well. I agree with others, although the magnets aren't super strong. My phone case already has a 1 inch metal disc on the back and if my phone wasn't resting on the dashboard it could slide off. I'm sure it would be better if you could use the supplied self-adhesive metal plates.
