We have been using this for storing eggs for several years. We've stored everything in it from large to giant eggs and never had a problem. Sometimes we have an oddly shaped egg, so we just turn it on its side a bit and it fits. In addition, it is so rigid that a light container can be placed on it without damaging the eggs. This is great if you have a small fridge with limited counter space. If you don't use the eggs for a few weeks, check the empty cells to see if there is any condensation. If so, dry them with a paper towel to avoid mold growth. While it's great for storage, it's not soft. One day my wife dropped a container with the lid closed. Every egg shattered, but NOTHING fell to the ground. This is way better than the open egg holders that come with fridges or styrofoam containers at supermarkets.
