Very good fitness/smartwatch at a great price

I have been using a Fitbit fitness/smartwatch for a few years and now I have a Fitbit Versa 2. When I found out that Tranya made a fitness/smartwatch I decided to try this as I was a fan of their bluetooth headphones. Being very familiar with Fitbit, many of my "cons" below are features I'm used to on my Versa 2 but not available on Tranya smartwatches. But since the Fitbit Versa 2 is about three times the price of a Tranya watch, you really can't expect it to have all the same features. And to be honest, most of those missing features don't really matter. After using the Tranya Smartwatch for a week, I was very impressed with it. If my Versa 2 dies I wouldn't mind replacing it with a Tranya watch, it's that good. There are definitely things I would miss about the Versa 2, but for 1/3 the price this watch is really good. Check out my pros and cons below and decide for yourself which features are most important to you and if this watch is right for you. Pros: Can control music from the watch Can check the weather from the watch - The charger is a proprietary cable like Fitbit's, but this charger cable is small and has a strong magnet to easily connect to the watch. This design is MUCH better than the big, clunky Fitbit charging dock that wraps around the watch face. Battery life is very good - it was still working after a week of unusually heavy use trying out all the features. I used my Versa 2 on a different wrist while evaluating a Tranya watch and it took just over 5 days to charge. - Notifications were very fast and reliable - actually even better than my Versa 2! - You can create your own picture on the clock. face by selecting an image from your phone. The screen isn't too difficult to read in bright sunlight at the default brightness. At maximum brightness, it is easy to read in sunlight. Flashlight function to turn on the watch face with white light, which can come in handy. Waterproof / dustproof. Resistant to immersion to a maximum depth of 1.5m under water for up to 30 minutes. The GloryFit phone app is used to manage the watch and track stats. I didn't find the app as user-friendly as the Fitbit app, but overall the app is quite functional and I liked it the more I used it. The watch and bracelet feel comfortable on my wrist even when wearing them. all day; including during sleep and during exercise. The step count seemed accurate. I wore the Versa 2 on my other wrist during the evaluation, and at the end of each day there was never more than a few percent difference in steps. Cons: - Cannot double tap the screen to "wake up" the clock. . You must press a button or rely on a "raise hand" motion to turn on the display. However, you can enable the "raise wrist to turn on display" option, which detects when you raise your hand to look at the watch and automatically turns on the watch face. This feature worked well and the watch actually turned on when I checked the time. - It is not possible to create new alarms on the watch itself. You also cannot enable or disable the alarm on the watch. You have to do this in the smart app on your phone. The Versa 2 lets you create alarms and turn them on and off right on the watch itself, which is one of the features I REALLY wish Tranya could do too. - I can't reply to text notifications on my watch - Versa 2 allows you to either reply with four "preset" replies, or you can activate the microphone and dictate a reply. This is a nice feature, but I don't use it very often, so I don't mind that the Tranya watch doesn't have this feature. There is a "Find My Phone" feature that will call your phone to help you locate it, which is nice, but although I've tried this feature many times, it never worked for me. Even if I had my phone next to my watch. It could just be a problem with my phone, I'm not sure. - No easy way to exit stopwatch mode - The only button on the Tranya watch does not exit stopwatch mode, it just starts/stops the stopwatch. It took me a long time to figure out how to get out of this mode. The only way to do this was to let the watch face "sleep" and then return to the main watch screen by pressing the button - the stats didn't go up - workouts can be tracked but normal workouts are missing, that I use on my Fitbit, including the elliptical, treadmill, and stairlift. It's weird not including them but including things like badminton and table tennis. Sleep tracking wasn't very accurate. He constantly showed that I fall asleep much later than I go to bed. I'm sure I slept a long time before he discovered I was sleeping. My Fitbit struck me as much more accurate in this regard.

Pros
  • Long battery life
Cons
  • Long delivery time
