I've tried these cups with a few machines, a few coffees, and different fill levels. The coffee he makes looks nice and dark but has no taste because it's actually pretty watered down. When I see it dripping, the first few seconds are normal and dark, so I had high hopes. After an initial and short-lived dark drop, it becomes very light brown and transparent. I read another review that said something along the lines of "there's a reason k-cups are included to give them time to seep". Maybe this is really the point! Whatever the reason for the inefficiency, I won't be using it anymore. That's great in theory, but disappointing.
