Unfortunately, I have very mixed feelings about this product. Two things are wrong with the mod kit. For starters, the standard DS4 D-Pad sits just above the controller's faceplate, maybe 1/8 inch. The magnetic from this kit is too big for me, about 3/8" to 1/2" if I remember correctly, which puts it on the same height as the joysticks. I have the same problem with joysticks. I had other metal thumbsticks; They rub against the inside of the controller causing them to stick and either not bounce back or move back very slowly. It seems to me that they sit too high on the part of the controller they are mounted on, causing them to rub/snag on the controller's inner plastic faceplate. This can probably be solved by cutting or sanding some of the plastic, but I'd rather not do that. And now for the better! The magnetic button is by far my favorite part of this set, which was unexpected. To be honest I didn't want and didn't see a need to change the standard buttons, but I used magnetic ones to get a consistent look and decided to try one size larger than the standard buttons. I can't explain why, and it's all personal opinion, but the buttons are a little bigger, they feel a lot more comfortable, and they're even a little more responsive. I only wish the set had slightly larger proportions and matching start buttons.
